How Do I Chase Authors Who Have Not Submitted Their Revisions?

To contact the author at any point during the submission process, you can choose to start a discussion with them. This operates in much the same way as an email thread and recipients will receive notifications with the message via their email account. A copy of the conversation will also be visible on the OJS.

To start a discussion, access the submission and go to the ‘Participants’ section, this will always be visible on the right hand side screen. Click on the arrow next to the participant’s name to bring up a list of options, including ‘Notify’. Clicking on ‘Notify’ will bring up an overlay in which you can start a discussion.

Any discussions that have been started will appear in the relevant ‘Discussions’ section, regardless of which stage of the submission journey you are currently at, this will appear at the bottom of the page.

You can also start a new discussion here by clicking on ‘Add Discussion’ and then selecting who to invite from the list of participants associated with the submission.
