How do I contact my co-editors?

If you have multiple editors working on a single submission, you can contact each other through the OJS and track your messages either by leaving notes in the submissions ‘Activity Log’, or by starting a discussion thread.

To leave a note, click on ‘Activity Log’ in the top right hand corner of the screen, this will bring up a new overlay and you can access the notes tab.  Any previous notes will appear here and you can leave your own note by clicking ‘Add Note’.

To start a discussion with another editor, you can choose to ‘Notify’ them in the ‘Participants’ panel. This can be found on the right hand side of the tab at each stage of a submissions journey through the OJS system. By clicking on the arrow next to a participant’s name, you can view several options including ‘Notify’.

Any open discussions will appear in the ‘Discussions’ section of that tab, and you can view each discussion by clicking on its name. If you need to start a discussion with multiple people, you can click on ‘Add discussion’ in the ‘Discussion’ section and this will bring up an overlay where you can start a new discussion and select who you want to include from a list of everyone associated with the submission.
