What are the production deadlines to ensure an article is published before the end of the year?

The lead up to the end of the year gets very busy for journal production and publication services. We therefore require that all articles projects are submitted before the below dates to ensure that they are published before the end of the year.

  • 3rd November: deadline for content with copyediting
  • 10th November: deadline for all other content

By 24th November all content will have been sent to authors/editors for proofing.

By 15th December: proofing comments/marked up PDFs must have been returned for all content to guarantee a publication date within the calendar year.

On 2nd January: publications will resume, beginning with content sent for typesetting after the 10th of November.

Should an article be sent to the production team after the above dates, the team will endevour to try and publish it within the calendar year, however, due to the increased demands this cannot be guaranteed and will be completed in chronological order from when the articles are received. It is adivsed that journals send articles to production as early as possible.
